Tom Dickie successfully completed the 2012 Kielder Marathon raising over £750 for Diabetes. ‘I am now looking to do an easier one!’
Tom Dickie has successfully completed masters level qualifications, x-ray qualifications and medical supplementary prescribing rights which has led to starting a masters in 2013 looking into lever arms and biomechanics of the foot following surgery and normal gait.
According to recent Government figures (Jan 2013) Leeds is one of the leaders in preventing lower limb loss in diabetics. Tom Dickie is the manager of the podiatrists within this field working alongside Specialist Vascular Surgeons and Specialist Diabetologists.
Tom Dickie has recently visited Washington DC as part of the Leeds Limb Salvage team. This was a master class combining surgeons, biomechanics and diabetes experts from all over the world leading the way.
