Tom Dickie was recommended to me by Nick Harris Orthopaedic Surgeon, Leeds five years ago.
I cannot speak highly enough of his thorough and caring attention to my severe problems.
His treatment, advice and actions have transformed my feet.
Tom has treated out son for two persistent toenail problems. He has been professional, effective and efficient on all occasions. We have especially valued his willingness to be flexible in order to respond quickly to our son’s condition. We are very pleased with the service we have received. Thank you.
Without Tom Dickie’s help, I doubt that I would have ever been able to successfully train for, and complete (!), a 26.2 mile marathon without injury. He provided me with custom orthotics, which simply slip into my trainers and I’m ready to go. They have helped me run more miles eliminating my plantar fasciitis and they’ve significantly reduced the back pain that I’d had for years. Thank you!
Tom Dickie successfully completed the 2012 Kielder Marathon raising over £750 for Diabetes. ‘I am now looking to do an easier one!’
Tom Dickie has successfully completed masters level qualifications, x-ray qualifications and medical supplementary prescribing rights which has led to starting a masters in 2013 looking into lever arms and biomechanics of the foot following surgery and normal gait.
According to recent Government figures (Jan 2013) Leeds is one of the leaders in preventing lower limb loss in diabetics. Tom Dickie is the manager of the podiatrists within this field working alongside Specialist Vascular Surgeons and Specialist Diabetologists.
Tom Dickie has recently visited Washington DC as part of the Leeds Limb Salvage team. This was a master class combining surgeons, biomechanics and diabetes experts from all over the world leading the way.
I have used Physio North several times, and have found them to be both professional and approachable. They have always been able to provide me with an appointment at short notice, and they are friendly and helpful with whatever the problem has been. They also have a no nonsense/seen it all before approach which cuts through any potential embarrassment.
I like the way I was given things I could do at home to improve my back problem, but in the short-term when the pain was really bad, they did a lot to ease my symptoms.
Thank you!
EJ Cox and Physio North have for several years provided me with excellent advice and treatment for various running injuries I have sustained. They have been very professional in their approach, yet at all times friendly and considerate and most importantly sympathetic to my needs, particularly my impatience to get back running! I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
I had seen a chiropractor for the same recurring muscle spasm in my shoulder for several years. Each time, the treatment alleviated some of the pain but it returned every few months, often meaning several days off work. The difference when I received physiotherapy from EJ was that as well as treating the symptoms, she explained the cause and gave me exercises to do as a preventative measure. Now when I feel it may be about to happen I can prevent it, and I can’t thank EJ enough for that. I have also received physio from EJ post knee operation, after a severe ankle sprain and in addition I have seen her for pre and post-natal physiotherapy. The acupuncture I had after my knee operation completed changed my opinion of the treatment and I am now an utter convert! As well as being a professional and skilled physiotherapist, EJ has such a lovely manner that she manages to make sessions enjoyable. I can wholeheartedly recommend physionorth.
